Libraries in Western Australia

The traditional library is a building containing a repository of printed material, mostly books, for reading on the premises or for borrowing. A modern library may also keep audio media and also stock various periodicals. State libraries may have a large amount of books, documents, maps, manuscripts, photographs etc which are held for research purposes, preservation and safe-keeping which are often stored and accessed in an electronic format
