Herne Hill

Herne Hill is a locality consisting mainly of vineyards and mixed small-holdings, and is towards the northern end of the Swan Valley, straddling the Great Northern Highway. To the south is Middle Swan, to the north Millendon. In 1830 Mr William Brockman took up a land grant here and commenced breeding merino sheep. Mr Brockman was also a member of the Legislative Council and a member of various societies. Mr Brockman's property was called Herne Hill
