Pingrup The town of Pingrup is located some 360 kilometres south east of Perth and 40 kms east of Nyabing. The railway pushed through to this area in 1923 thus the giving rise to the settlement of a town. The railways people didn't like the name Pingrup and proposed Geina. The name Geina had already been used in the area for over 20 years. However, despite what anyone else thought, the Lands Department held sway and Pingrup was officially adopted |
