Preston Beach Preston Beach is a holiday town located 15 kms off the Forrest Highway just south of the Old Bunbury Road Junction. The locality is 134 kms south of Perth and is within the Shire of Waroona. In 1959 the area was known as Preston Beach Estate. The town was gazetted in 1975 in the name of Yalgorup. The Shire requested this be changed to the current name in 1989. Preston is the name of a nearby lake named after 1829 discoverer, Lieutenant William Preston |

Preston Beach - Footprints Accommodation Units These Footprints accommodation units are visually quite spectacular. The complex is quite large. There are many other units in varying design but all appear to be made out of corrugated iron which adds a degree of uniqueness and a radiates a relaxing "holiday" ambience. January 2012.
