City Beach City Beach is, as the name implies, a beach-side suburb west of Perth City. The district name is descriptive of its location. An early name suggested was Ocean Beach but as the area was opened up by the City Council, the current name prevailed. This area was once part of the Lime Kilns Estate containing around 1,300 acres including Floreat. Development in the area started in 1928. Extensive bush reserves between here and Floreat have survived the years |
