Eneabba Eneabba is a small town on the Brand Highway located 282 kms north of Perth and is within the Shire of Carnamah. The George Grey expedition of 1839 first visited the area. Mr William Rowland was the district's first settler in 1870. The area was hostile to agriculture until improved soil technologies were provided by the 1959 Badgingarra Research facility. The town was gazetted in 1961. These days Iluka Resources is active in the area mining mineral sands |

Eneabba - Street A look down one of the town's streets. Many of the local houses are fibro with steel roofs. Nearby is quite a large compound of mining quarters which seem to be built of similar substances. December 2015. Photos Ref: ENBB007 |

Eneabba - Store The Eneabba Eziway store including the post office is the business focal point for townsfolk. Inside they cater for just about anything you'd need. Good shop. Apart from the school, most buildings seem to have been built without longevity in mind. Still, this is predominantly a mining town so perhaps to be expected. December 2015. Photos Ref: ENBB008 |
