Meelon Meelon is a rural locality situated about halfway between Pinjarra and Dwellingup on the plain just before the ascent into the Darling Escarpment. A small saw milling town was established here in the 1900's. Over the decades saw milling declined and so did this town. Meelon, Brookdale and Marrinup sidings were all established on the passing Pinjarra Narrogin railway in the milling heyday. They have all gone now but the railway line remains quietly disintegrating |

Meelon - Isandra Siding Hotham Valley excursion trains used to run to Dwellingup from Pinjarra. A damaged track and some officialdom saw HVR trains ex Pinjarra ceasing and thence Dwellingup westbounds only came down as far as Isandra. And it seems they continue to do so. Meelon - Isandra Siding A few of these picnic ensembles are scattered around the Isandra platform. Isandra Siding is 10 kilometres east of Pinjarra and 14 kilometres west of Dwellingup.
